    Frequently Asked Questions

How Loud Does The Blower and Auger Get?

Hard to get specific with this, It's important to note it will make a noise and it will be noticeable. To try answer in a context, If you have it about 2 feet from a TV you'd have to turn up the volume but not too loud

Can It Work If There's A Power Outage?

A reliable power backup system is essential to keep your Comfortbilt pellet stoves running smoothly during power outages. While some backup systems may require human intervention and cause temporary disruptions, a UPS (uninterrupted power supply) offers an instantaneous switchover to battery power, ensuring uninterrupted operation. A UPS offers instantaneous power switchover to battery backup when a power outage occurs. This seamless transition ensures that your stove continues to operate without interruption. Our team is more than happy to help you find the needed UPS. If you'd like to do it on your own, be sure it meets these requirements:  a 120V, 60Hz power supply, and a Pure Sine Wave output with at least a 1000W peak wattage

What Do You Have Under The Pellet Stove?

For Safety It's a good idea to pick up a mat or have some sort of stone or brick under your pellet stove

Where Should I Install The Stove?

This Pellet Stove is Eligible for the 30% Tax Credit Program

    ✅EPA Certified

    ✅81% HHV Efficiency

    • Beginning in 2023 through December 31, 2032, consumers buying highly efficient wood or pellet stoves or larger residential biomass heating systems may be eligible to claim a 30% tax credit that is capped at $2,000 annually and is based on the full cost (purchase and installation) of the unit.
    • This new 30 percent tax credit is available for appliances installed between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2032.
    • Customers will claim their tax credit when they file their taxes on IRS form 5695 under “Residential Energy Efficient Property Credit “. They will need their purchase receipt (showing the cost of product and installation).

    Accessory Ventilation Kit

Along side the mandatory exhaust ventilation you can opt in to purchase some extra ventilation piping to bring in outside air. If you want the most out of your stove and don't mind the extra work, we'd highly recommend it. Let's break down the pros and cons:

    Pros

    Cons

    Improved Efficiency

Outdoor air means the stove isn't competing for the indoor air and there will be a more complete combustion

    Additional Cost

The materials add to the project cost and you may end up needing professional help

    Enhanced Safety

More complete combustion means less carbon monoxide and better air quality

    Aesthetic & Space

Depending on the location the piping may detract from the ambiance of the room

    Potential Improved Longevity

Better air quality means less dust or other pollutants that might build up and potentially slowly wear down your stove

    Limited Impact in Some Environments:

In homes with sufficient ventilation or where indoor air quality is not a significant concern, the benefits of an external air intake may not justify the cost and effort.

    More To Maintain

Introducing an additional component means there's one more thing to maintain and potentially troubleshoot over time, adding to the overall upkeep of the pellet stove.
